Trace YOUR Picks Results 2/3/2014

Well the 5 games put out today stirred up alot of excitement as they are but one had a chance to be very exciting! As far as sports in general on Monday. It was just as exciting, Syracuse stayed unbeaten after a feisty game from Notre Dame. A huge game in the Oklahoma St-Iowa St game that went into 3OT. There were a few down to the wire games in the NBA as Spurs came from down 12 in the 4th to win against the Pelicans. Foye hit a buzzer 3 for the Nuggets to beat the Clippers. 2 game in the NHL went into OT and surprise surprise they involved the Senators and Red Wings and again surprise surprise they lost in OT. They have lost in extra time a combined 24 times.

As for our games lets get right to it!

Prop #1
Bulls on the road out west. 2 evil things this Chicago team or for any Chicago team. Chicago was 5-11 against the Western Conference. So this game played out much like it should have... Chicago was down 12 after the first quarter and played Sacramento even for 2 quarters and then lost the 4th by 15 and it really doesn't help when you shoot 28% from the field. When you do that you lose 70-99

Prop #2
The game between Fairfield and Rider was very competitive for most of the game. It looked like this was an easy 9 or less pick until Rider decided to start playing midway through the 2nd half they had built a 60-48 lead with about 10 min to go. This prop was going to come down to the wire! They traded baskets for the next 9 min. Rider was up 10 with Jimmy Taylor going to the free throw line. He made one to push the lead to 11 with 30 seconds to go. With 13 seconds to go Steve Johnston drilled a 3 and Rider ran out the close for a 8 point win. A tough lost for the Rider 10 or more and A hard win for the Fairfield 9 or less picks.

Prop #3
One of Women's basketballs best scorers took the court and Odyssey Sims and she didnt disappoint but would that be enough to be 30 or more or 29 or less? Before the total is said.... Sims jacked up 24 shots and had 9 free throw attempts. Needless to say should would have the opportunity to score 30 or more but her shot was not there as she only made 8 of the 24 shots. She did pour in 8 of 9 free throws but her total stopped at 27 points ( a very good game but not enough for the 30 or more picks)

Prop #4
After giving up 5 goals against Toronto on saturday Craig Anderson had to go face the Penguins in Pittsburgh. How would he fare? Well Penguins made every attempt to put 10 goals on Anderson because they sent 48 shots at Craig Anderson but Anderson forgot about that Toronto performance because he stopped all but 2 of those shots but even that wasnt enough because Fluery stopped all but 1 as the Penguins beat the Senators in OT 2-1

Prop #5
The first college hockey prop of our competition! Boston U was in the Semifinals of the Beanpot against the number 1 team in the nation Boston College. This was not one of Boston College's better games as they faced off against Arch-Rival Boston U but they built a 2-0 led going into the 3rd period but a goal by Boston U all but ended the 3 or more pickers. Boston College threw in an empty netter and capped the final at 3-1 but the bet would go to the 2 or less pickers

TB #1
The best team in the NBA the Indiana Pacers faced off against one of the worst the Orlando Magic. The Magic do have also one of the worst defenses so how would an average of 73.1 starting lineup for the Pacers fare? It appeared to be a starting lineup resting game for the Pacers as the starters match the reserves in minutes and the points managed to do that same as the Pacers racked up 98 points and the starters got only 49 of them and the reserves got 49.

TB #2
The pickers were unanimous in saying the New Jersey Institute of Technology would get the win over UMASS-Lowell. The picked NJIT from 3 to 17. So this clearly was to easy of a pick or was it? I guess they have to play the game.. NJIT was up 20-17 with 12 min left in the 1st when UMASS went on a 23-9 run to close the half and lead 40-29 at halftime. The start of the 2nd half was alot of the same as UMASS started the 2nd half on a 11-3 run to extend the lead to 51-32. The rest of the game was alot of titter totting with UMASS never letting the boat tip as NJIT never got less than 8 behind. UMASS finished the game winning 73-64

Those were the results! How did you fare on a rather close sports night!

Today's results ended with a tiebreaker between Joey O and Ian S as they both finished up 4-1. It came down to the Pacers starting lineup and neither pick was real close but Ian was 2 points closer than Joey O. Winning the Day!
